Day 7 Planes,Trains and Automobiles (and Buses)
We are in Las Vegas but it's way too late and everybody's asleep so I will post in the morning.
We are 3 hours behind so it will be more like noon EDT. All went smoothly with travel and our hotel is great.
More in the a.m.

We woke to more rain in San Antonio so the boat ride was out. We had a leisurely breakfast along with a girls' gymnastics team of about 100 kids.
Sarah and Sam both had a good appetite again.
The kids goofed around on the balcony while Amy organized our luggage for our flight.
We checked out and had a little time before we needed to be at the airport, so we found a park on the way.

There was a Japanese sunken garden with beautiful flowers, fish, waterfalls and paths that we explored for some exercise.
We had a nice lunch at a neighborhood bakery that had huge cookies.
We got to the airport, parked the van, got our bags checked and got through security. We waited for our plane and said goodbye to San Antonio, at least for a week.
We got on our tiny little plane, which was not much bigger than a city bus.
Soon we were airborne and on our way to Denver for our connecting flight.
Samuel was fascinated with looking out the window at the tops of clouds and the fields, roads and houses below.

We got to Denver and had a long layover, which we spent checking out the airport. The escalators and moving walkways were a big hit with some members of the party.

We had a nice dinner of gourmet pizza and salad at Wolfgang Puck's restaurant, and then we were back in the air over clouds and the Rocky Mountains.
We arrived in Las Vegas and got on a bus to our rental car agency, then drove up the Strip to our hotel. It was late and we just wanted to get here, so Las Vegas pics will be posted tomorrow (Day 8).
